From First Inquiry to Go-Home Day
Bringing home a French Bulldog is a big decision, and we are honored when families consider one of our puppies. Our goal is to make the process clear, transparent, and supportive -- from your first question to go-home day and beyond.
📩 Step 1: Initial Inquiry
We encourage interested families to reach out via email or social media.
We love getting to know potential homes, including your lifestyle and activity level, previous experience with dogs, and what you are hoping for in a Frenchie companion. This helps us ensure every puppy is placed where they will truly thrive.
💬 Step 2: Conversation & Education
We believe in open, honest communication and are happy to answer any questions about the breed, our program, and what to expect when welcoming a French Bulldog into your home.
🐾 Step 3: Litter Updates & Availability
When we have an upcoming or current litter, we keep interested families in the loop with regular updates. Once puppies are old enough for early evaluation, we begin working through our contact list, focusing on matching each puppy based on temperament, personality, and family fit.
💳 Step 4: Reservation & Deposit
Once a family is matched with a puppy, a $500 deposit is required to secure the reservation. All deposit details, contracts, and expectations will be clearly outlined before any commitment is made - no surprises.
📸 Step 5: Watch Your Puppy Grow
From their first days to go-home day, families receive regular photos, updates, and milestone moments. We love helping you feel connected to your puppy long before they come home.
🏡 Step 6: Go-Home Day
The big day has finally arrived!
Before heading home, every SaltyPaw's Frenchies puppy receives a final veterinary health examination, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, microchipping, complete health records, and AKC registration paperwork.
To help your puppy transition smoothly into their new home, each family receives a thoughtfully prepared Salty Paw’s Puppy Welcome Kit filled with familiar comforts, helpful supplies, and resources to help get started.
Your puppy’s welcome kit may include:
🐾 A slow feeder bowl to support healthy eating habits
🐾 A plush comfort toy or puppy-safe chew toy
🐾 A blanket carrying familiar scents from mom and littermates
🐾 A measuring cup to help maintain consistent feeding portions
🐾 A starter supply of your puppy’s current food for an easier transition
You'll also receive our comprehensive Puppy Packet, filled with helpful resources including health records, vaccination information, feeding instructions, your puppy's current routine, house-training guidance, first-week expectations, care tips, and lifelong breeder support.
Our goal is for every puppy to leave not only healthy and well-socialized, but with both the supplies and knowledge needed to start their new life with confidence.
