Understanding DNA Health Results
Like most French Bulldogs, our dogs carry CDDY/IVDD risk. Because of the breed’s unique build and compact structure, this is very common and expected in Frenchies. With proper weight management, muscle tone, and everyday care, many Frenchies live active, happy lives.
Opal also carries the ATP7B gene, which is linked to Copper Toxicosis in certain other breeds. At this time, research has not shown this gene to cause disease in French Bulldogs.
All other tested genetic conditions were clear. Transparency matters to us, and we are always happy to discuss in more detail.
