Our journey with French Bulldogs didn’t start as a business.
Like many families, we fell in love with the breed because of their personalities. Frenchies are loyal, loving, funny, and truly want to be part of everything their family does. Once we welcomed our first French Bulldog into our home ten years ago, we knew this breed was something special.
Over time, that love grew into a passion for learning everything we could about the breed — not just the fun parts, but the responsibility that comes with breeding them the right way.
❤️ It Started With Family
Our dogs have always been family first. They live in our home, spend time with us every day, and are raised around real family life. As we learned more about the breed, we quickly realized that responsible breeding is about much more than producing puppies — it’s about protecting the future of the breed and honoring the trust families place in you when they welcome one of your puppies into their home.
🧠 Learning What Responsible Breeding Really Means
When we first began researching breeding, we made a commitment to ourselves: if we were ever going to do this, we were going to do it the right way.
That meant diving deep into breed-specific health risks, structural soundness, genetic testing, proper veterinary guidance, and ethical breeding practices. We spent time learning from veterinarians, experienced breeders, and reputable health organizations -- and we never stopped.
🩺 Our Commitment to Health Testing
One of the biggest turning points in our journey was understanding just how critical health testing is in responsible breeding.
We follow health testing recommendations through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, completing all breed-recommended structural screenings before breeding. We also perform DNA health screening through Embark Veterinary, testing for over 200 genetic conditions -- helping us make informed breeding decisions and giving future families genuine peace of mind.
🐾 Working With the Right Veterinary Team
Building a strong relationship with a veterinarian who truly understands French Bulldogs has been one of the most important parts of our journey. We would never breed a dog if there were concerns about structure, health, or overall wellness. Having a knowledgeable, supportive veterinary team behind us helps ensure every decision we make is the right one.
👨👩👧👦 Our Philosophy Today
Our program is built around a few simple but deeply held beliefs:
✔ Our dogs are family first
✔ Health testing is non-negotiable
✔ Temperament matters just as much as appearance
✔ Transparency with families is essential
✔ We are always learning and improving
❤️ Why We Do This
At the end of the day, we do this because we love this breed and want to see French Bulldogs thrive for generations to come. We are honored every time a family trusts us with one of our puppies, and we never take that responsibility lightly.
